2026 Neurogastroenterology Prize: Applications accepted until 31 May
The → German Foundation for Neurogastroenterology is once again inviting entries for the Neurogastroenterology Prize. The prize, worth €5,000, recognises outstanding scientific achievements in the field of neurogastroenterology and highlights excellent research into the gut-brain axis.
Applications are particularly welcome from scientists in the early stages of their careers in clinical and basic research. A prerequisite is a high-impact publication from 2025 or 2026, including those ‘in press’. In addition to scientific quality, particular consideration will be given to groundbreaking findings and relevance to neurogastroenterology.
The deadline for applications is 31 May 2026.
The Neurogastro Prize will be awarded during the Viszeralmedizin 2026 conference in Hamburg by the German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS). The award offers an excellent opportunity to highlight and recognise innovative research.
Early-career researchers are expressly invited to take advantage of this opportunity and to play an active role in shaping the future of neurogastroenterology.
